Musician YOSHIKI, known for the band X JAPAN, faced a series of disruptions to his scheduled activities in September 2026.

On September 19, his management announced that YOSHIKI had collapsed due to exhaustion while traveling in the United States. His physician attributed the collapse to a dense international schedule involving frequent travel for concerts and recordings. While he received medical treatment, the incident necessitated the cancellation of several Japanese appearances and the postponement of a live broadcast.

Although YOSHIKI initially intended to prioritize his health to ensure he could perform at New York’s Central Park on September 26, his scheduled performance at the Global Citizen Festival was ultimately canceled. The cancellation was attributed to severe weather conditions and a state of emergency declared by New York City officials, rather than his health status.
