In early October 2026, Chad held several ceremonies to recognize excellence among its youth and students.

On October 3, the government hosted the second National Youth Excellence Awards (PENJ). Presided over by Prime Minister Allah-Maye Halina, the event honored twelve young Chadians for achievements in fields such as scientific research, technology, agribusiness, culture, and the environment. Laureates received trophies and 10 million CFA francs each. The Prime Minister described the youth as a generation of “digital expertise, artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, and innovation.”

On October 12, a separate ceremony in Abéché honored 43 students for their academic performance during the 2025-2026 school year. This event was organized by the Prefect of the Ouara department, the provincial delegation of National Education, and the Abou Amina Foundation to promote academic excellence.
