Assisi hosted several gatherings focused on youth spirituality and professional development. The Unione Cattolica Stampa Italiana conducted a school for young journalists centered on the theme “At the service of Democracy: instructions for free journalists.” This program included discussions on democracy, verified information, and the impact of artificial intelligence and social media on disinformation.

Concurrently, the 46th edition of “Giovani verso Assisi” brought over 400 young Italians to the city for workshops and liturgical celebrations based on Franciscan spirituality. Following these events, approximately 300 young people participated in the 5th National Youth and Memory Day. Organized by the National Anniversaries Mission Structure, the Italian Youth Agency, and the National Committee for the celebration of the eighth centenary of the death of Saint Francis of Assisi, the initiative used various Franciscan spiritual sites to reflect on the value of historical memory.
