The Zagreb City Assembly has approved amended regulations regarding the use of public parking spaces. The new rules specifically target the misuse of reserved spots in front of kindergartens, allowing communal wardens to issue fines for improper use.

Under the new system, reserved parking in front of kindergartens is restricted to specific windows between 07:00–09:00 and 15:00–17:00, with a maximum stay of 15 minutes. Outside of these times, the spots revert to regular parking. Fines for violations are set at 260 euros for individuals, 660 euros for legal entities, and 220 euros for responsible persons within a legal entity.

The decision also introduces a ‘brown block’ (smeđi blok) regime, which restricts parking usage to residents and business users holding specific permits.
