Zijin Mining Group is expanding its international gold mining operations and infrastructure, specifically in Guyana and Ghana.

In Guyana, the company is investing US$ 55 million to construct a 45 MWp solar power plant with 100 MWh of energy storage at its Aurora gold mine. This project is designed to reduce reliance on diesel generators and support continuous underground operations such as ventilation and pumping. The subsidiary AGM Inc. reported US$ 334 million in revenue for the first half of 2026 as the mine transitions toward underground mining.

In Ghana, Zijin Golden Ridge Limited, which operates the Akyem Gold Mine, reported significant economic contributions. In 2025, the operation generated over GH¢7 billion in direct economic value, including GH¢1.41 billion in taxes and royalties and GH¢4.19 billion spent on local suppliers and service providers.
