Romanian racing driver Zoe Florescu has begun her progression toward Formula 1 through the F1 Academy. Initially competing in the Spanish Formula 4 championship with the team More Than Equal, Florescu secured a wild card entry for the F1 Academy.

During her participation in the F1 Academy event at the Zandvoort circuit in the Netherlands, Florescu competed with Hitech GP. Her weekend was marked by technical difficulties, including a disqualification from the qualifying session due to the type of engine oil used in her car. This forced her to start the Reverse Grid race from the back of the field, though she managed to reach 11th place in that session. In the subsequent Feature Race, she finished in 18th place.
