The state of Zulia has organized its sports delegation, referred to as ‘Team Tawala’, for the IV Communal National Sports Games (Judenacom 2026). Following municipal qualifying phases, 34 participants from youth and senior categories secured direct qualification, with Maracaibo providing the largest number of athletes, particularly in swimming.

By late October, the Maracaibo municipal government reported that an initial group of 40 athletes, including swimmers and senior citizens, had departed to compete in various Venezuelan states. This delegation is supported by the Municipal Institute of Sport and Recreation (Imdeprec).
