Polish billionaire Zygmunt Solorz, founder of Polsat, has moved toward resolving long-standing legal disputes regarding the succession of his business empire and family foundations.

Initial signs of reconciliation emerged during Solorz’s 70th birthday celebration in Florence, Italy. The event featured his children—Tobias Solorz, Piotr Żak, and Aleksandra Żak—appearing together in public for the first time following a period of legal conflict regarding leadership within the Polsat Plus Group.

Following this event, reports indicated that a preliminary succession agreement had been reached, with Piotr Żak expected to lead the family holding company. This process culminated in a confidential settlement between Zygmunt Solorz, his wife Justyna Kulka, and their three children to end disputes over the family's business empire.

The settlement follows definitive court rulings in Liechtenstein regarding the succession of the TiVi and Solkomtel foundations. It aims to restore “unity, full agreement, and a community of goals” within the family, specifically concerning the future of Polsat Plus Group and ZE PAK. 

As part of the arrangement, Solorz will step back from active management of companies held by the foundations, transitioning to an honorary advisory role. The family's assets, estimated to be worth between 8.5 and 8.7 billion PLN, include major holdings such as Polsat Plus Group, Polkomtel, Netia, Elektrim, ZE PAK, and Plus Bank. All parties have committed to the immediate and unconditional termination of all mutual legal and administrative proceedings in Poland and abroad.
