007 First Light Switch 2 release delayed to March 2027
IO Interactive has announced that the Nintendo Switch 2 version of 007 First Light is delayed until March 2027. The developer stated the additional time is required to optimize performance and ensure the quality of the experience on the hybrid console. While the game has been available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC since May 2026, the Nintendo port has faced multiple scheduling shifts.
Despite the delay, the studio noted positive feedback from a playable demo at Gamescom and confirmed that a similar demo will be available at the Tokyo Game Show.
Separately, a major technical update has arrived for the PC version of 007 First Light. In collaboration with NVIDIA, the update introduces Path Tracing and Ray Reconstruction support. This feature-heavy update requires high-end hardware, with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 recommended for 4K resolution with high-quality Path Tracing settings.
