IO Interactive launches 007 First Light’s major patch, fixing 200+ issues and dropping Denuvo DRM
IO Interactive released patch 1.1.0 for the James Bond game 007 First Light on July 24. The update addresses more than 200 bugs reported by the community and internal testers, including crashes, clipping problems, achievement errors, animation glitches, and platform‑specific stability issues. It also adds two new TacSim missions, a set of unlockable weapons such as the DRS‑7 Silenced SMG, and the "Diamond in the Rough" outfit, all obtainable with Intel currency after reaching the required clearance level.
The patch removes Denuvo Anti‑Tamper protection from the PC version, a change detected through a 263 MB reduction in the executable size on SteamDB, though it was not highlighted in the official notes. Download sizes vary by platform, ranging from about 1.4 GB on Xbox Series to 23.84 GB on PlayStation 5. IO Interactive thanked the player community for its feedback and indicated further improvements and content updates are in development.
