1. FC Köln readies for Bundesliga season with transfers and fan events

The 1. FC Köln is preparing for the 2026/27 Bundesliga campaign amid several transfer developments. The club has set a €50 million price tag for forward Said El Mala, a demand that Borussia Dortmund is reportedly unwilling to meet. At the same time, Köln have submitted an official offer for Tottenham Hotspur youngster Mikey Moore, aiming to secure the 18‑year‑old on loan, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Ahead of the league start, Köln staged a large fan festival on the Vorwiesen at the RheinEnergieStadion, drawing around 40,000 supporters. The free‑entry event featured autograph stations, live music, a fan village and the presentation of new kits. The club also announced a pre‑season friendly against Spanish side Real Sociedad, which will be streamed live on MagentaSport and free on MagentaTV.

In the youth ranks, 21‑year‑old Malek El Mala, brother of Said, remains under contract until 2030 but has yet to break into the first team, with the club indicating he must prove himself in the Regionalliga before earning a senior role.
