1. FC Nürnberg faces tactical shifts after Mohamed Ali Zoma injury

1. FC Nürnberg striker Mohamed Ali Zoma is set to be sidelined until the winter break following shoulder surgery. The 22-year-old Italian international sustained the injury during a match against Energie Cottbus.

Zoma’s absence presents a significant tactical challenge for coach Miroslav Klose, as the striker has recorded seven goals in eight matches. Beyond his scoring ability, Zoma is noted for his exceptional speed, reaching up to 36.7 km/h, making him the fastest player in the second division this season.

To compensate for the loss of Zoma’s pace and ability to exploit deep runs, Klose is looking toward the squad's depth. Potential replacements and options include Rayan Ghrieb, William Böving, and Rafael Lubach. Additionally, the team may rely more heavily on offensive contributions from full-backs such as Eric Porstner, Ioannis Masouras, and Tim Janisch to maintain attacking pressure.
