1. FC Rieden Wins BLSV Fitness Prize and Secures Council Backing for Inclusive Playgrounds

The 1. FC Rieden football club was named one of five winners of the BLSV‑Fitnesspreis Ostbayern in Regensburg. The award, presented by the Bavarian State Sports Association (BLSV) and its partner Sparda‑Bank Ostbayern, recognises the club’s "Mobilmacher" volunteer projects. Each winning club received a €2,000 prize from a total €10,000 fund provided by the bank.

Separately, the club’s recent infrastructure investments were approved by the Marktgemeinderat. The council gave final acceptance to a barrier‑free footbridge, a multi‑generational playground with an inclusive Kneipp‑pool, and a paddelcourt on the club’s grounds.
