10-Year-Old Boy Killed by Falling Soccer Goal in Criciúma, Brazil

A 10-year-old boy died after a soccer goal post fell and struck him in the head at a sand field in a public plaza in Criciúma, Santa Catarina. The accident occurred around 19:45 on Monday, 27 July 2026, while the area was closed for construction work. Emergency services performed CPR on‑site before transporting the child to the local urgent care unit, where he was pronounced dead.
