1000 Miglia opens registrations for 2027 centenary race

Registrations have officially opened for the 2027 1000 Miglia, marking the centenary of the historic race originally founded in 1927. The event is scheduled to take place from Monday, May 24, to Saturday, May 29, 2027.

To celebrate the hundredth anniversary, the race will return to an anti-clockwise direction and feature a ring-shaped route, a structure not seen since 2024. The route will follow the original 1927 direction, adapted for modern needs, starting in Brescia and passing through cities including Parma, Modena, Florence, Siena, and Rome.

The 1000 Miglia Registry has identified exactly 1,000 eligible car models for this anniversary, ranging from iconic brands like Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, Bugatti, and Cisitalia to various specialized Italian and international coachbuilders. Each model has been assigned a specific coefficient based on its historical and competitive significance.

Interested participants must submit applications via the official website by 16:00 CET on Tuesday, December 22, 2026. All participating vehicles must hold a 1000 Miglia Registry certificate, or have initiated the application process concurrently with their candidacy. Final acceptance is subject to the issuance of these certificates.
