10th International Creation Congress opens in Trabzon

The 10th International Creation Congress, organized by the Creation Association in the Light of Sciences, has commenced at the Karadeniz Technical University (KTU) Osman Turan Culture and Congress Center in Trabzon. The event focuses on the theme ‘Universe: Measure, Balance, and Meaning.’

During the opening, KTU Rector Prof. Dr. Hamdullah Çuvalcı emphasized the importance of scientific freedom, academic ethics, and intellectual pluralism, noting that universities should be institutions that encourage questioning and critical thinking.

Invited speaker Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, founder of Üsküdar University, delivered a presentation titled ‘Differences and Similarities Between the Universe and Artificial Intelligence.’ Tarhan discussed the brain as a dynamic system that generates predictions based on sensory input and past experiences. He argued that just as artificial intelligence cannot be conceived without human intelligence, the universe cannot be understood without an external intelligence. Tarhan also noted the lack of scientific counter-theses to the ‘Creation Manifesto’ published in 2024, expressing an expectation for critical scientific debate from the fields of physics, mathematics, and biology.
