11-year-old boy found dead in Siirt's Botan River as search continues for missing father
In Siirt, Turkey, the body of 11‑year‑old Faruk Santur was recovered from the Botan River near the Botan Bridge on the Siirt‑Eruh highway. A passerby fishing on the riverbank reported the motionless child, prompting a 112 emergency call. Health services, the gendarmerie, Siirt Municipality Fire Department and underwater rescue teams retrieved the boy, and a post‑mortem examination confirmed his death.
