120 families receive land grants after 40-year wait

After a 40-year wait, 120 families in Sungkai and Kuala Bikam have received land grants to resolve long-standing squatter settlement issues. Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming stated that the resolution demonstrates the government's commitment to citizen welfare regardless of race or social status.

In addition to the land grants, the government announced several initiatives, including RM20 million for Indian villages, RM50 million for Tamil vernacular schools (SJKT), and an increase in the allocation for the Malaysian Indian Transformation Unit (Mitra) to RM150 million.
