131. SU school in Sofia sees significant student growth

The 131. SU ‘Kliment Arkadiev Timiryazev’ school in the Mladost 4 district of Sofia has undergone a significant transformation. Since the end of 2018, the student population has grown from approximately 270 to roughly 1,200.

Under the leadership of Director Tanya Moneva, who took charge in late 2018, the institution has shifted its image from an overlooked local school to an innovative educational center. This growth is attributed to organizational changes, new educational initiatives, and participation in national and international programs.

The school has introduced integrative subjects during the lower secondary stage, such as ‘Mathematics and Technologies’ and ‘With a Pen Through the Centuries,’ which combines Bulgarian language and literature with history and civilization.
