14-year-old girl found dead in Toruń apartment, investigation underway

Police discovered the body of a 14-year-old girl lying in a bed on 30 July in an apartment on Rydygiera Street in the Rubinkowo district of Toruń. The Regional Prosecutor's Office opened a criminal investigation and ordered a full autopsy. A preliminary medical opinion indicated the immediate cause of death was acute circulatory‑respiratory failure, while a more detailed pathological report is pending. Prosecutor Rafał Ruta of the Toruń District Prosecutor's Office said the case is being examined for possible unintentional homicide, but no charges have been filed so far. The investigation continues as authorities collect further evidence and await the final forensic findings.
