14‑year‑old Sara Gavira of San Roque earns C2 English certification

Sara Gavira García, a 14‑year‑old from San Roque, Spain, passed the C2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, the highest English proficiency certification, becoming one of the youngest Spaniards to achieve this.

The accomplishment was recognized at a ceremony in the town hall attended by mayor Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix, deputy mayor for Education Belén Jiménez, and Sara’s mother Ana García. Sara prepared largely autodidactically, noting the scarcity of specialized courses for the C2 level, and officials praised her dedication as an example for local youth.
