15,000 Runners Take Part in Malaysia's IJM Allianz Duo Highway Challenge 2026

Over 15,000 runners from Malaysia and 22 other nations participated in the eighth edition of the IJM Allianz Duo Highway Challenge 2026, a marathon staged on the closed sections of the New Pantai Expressway (NPE) and the Sungai Besi Expressway (Besraya) in the Klang Valley.

The event was organized by IJM Corporation Berhad and Allianz Malaysia Berhad in partnership with the expressway operators. It offered four race categories – full marathon, half marathon, 10 km and 5 km – and was inaugurated by Deputy Minister of Works Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Maslan. The race holds Malaysia Book of Records titles for the first fully closed‑highway marathon and the longest highway run, and is recognised by World Athletics and AIMS, with safety overseen by the Highway Authority and police.
