Two individuals were each fined €500 after being caught burning straw on agricultural land in the Klinë municipality. Police and fire services intervened, extinguished the fires and the cases were referred to the State Prosecutor’s Office.

Serbian security services arrested a 46‑year‑old man, identified as R. T., on suspicion of espionage for providing information about a suspected mass‑grave site in Zubin Potok, Kosovo. He was placed under a 48‑hour restriction pending a hearing.

Kosovo police also completed the extradition of two Kosovar nationals – one from Switzerland and one from Albania – on Interpol warrants for robbery and for escaping from an institution. Both were handed over to local police units for further legal proceedings.

Authorities reported that July saw an average of about 15 open‑area fires per day across Kosovo. High temperatures and dry conditions were cited as contributing factors, prompting fire‑prevention appeals to the public.
