15‑year‑old girl dead, grandmother wounded in La Matanza shooting

A 15‑year‑old girl, Candela Abigail Urquiza, was killed and her 50‑year‑old grandmother, Blanca Urquiza, was seriously injured during a gunfight between rival gangs in Villa Dorrego, La Matanza district, Buenos Aires Province. Police say occupants of a white Ford EcoSport opened fire on a man on foot; the exchange of fire struck the two women standing in front of their home, with the teenager dying instantly from a head wound.
