1666: Amsterdam to enter Early Access on August 25
Panache Digital Games has announced that 1666: Amsterdam will enter Early Access on PC on August 25, 2026. The title will be available through Steam and the Epic Games Store, with an initial price of approximately $29.99.
Developed by the Montreal-based studio founded by Patrice Désilets, the creator of Assassin’s Creed, the game is a third-person supernatural action-adventure set in 17th-century Amsterdam. The narrative features three interconnected timelines: 1666, 1999, and the present day. Players control Noa, a witch tasked with investigating mysterious entities known as Originals, and Aaron, a man from 1999 whose consciousness inhabits the body of Noa’s cat.
The gameplay revolves around a day-and-night cycle. During the day, players engage in investigation and clue-gathering, while the night facilitates combat against the Originals. The Early Access version is expected to include roughly 15 hours of the initial campaign, with the developers planning to expand the world and story through updates over the following year.
