19-8 Hospital celebrates 65th anniversary and receives Labor Order, First Class

19-8 Hospital celebrated its 65th anniversary, marking its evolution from a modest medical facility into a first-class central hospital serving the Vietnam People's Public Security forces. On this occasion, the hospital was honored with the Labor Order, First Class, from the President of Vietnam.

Currently operating with a 1,000-bed capacity, the hospital employs a high-level team of professors and specialists. It has achieved proficiency in advanced medical techniques comparable to top-tier national hospitals, particularly in cardiology, oncology, surgery, hematology, and gastroenterology. Notable achievements include aortic stent graft procedures, complex 3D arrhythmia ablation, and various organ transplant and surgical procedures.

Looking toward the future, the hospital has set a strategic goal to become a strategic-level facility for the Ministry of Public Security by 2030, with a vision for 2035. The target includes expanding to a 1,500-bed capacity and evolving into a special-class, modern, specialized, and smart multi-specialty hospital capable of mastering high-level organ transplantation techniques.
