Palermo motorcycle accident kills 19-year-old

A 19-year-old man, Rosario Romeo, died in a motorcycle accident in Palermo during the night. The incident occurred around 3:00 AM on Viale Ercole, near the Favorita park, when the young man reportedly lost control of his motorcycle and struck a pole and a roadside ditch.

Vincenzo Figuccia, a regional deputy, highlighted that this tragedy follows another fatal scooter accident involving a 28-year-old just four days prior. Figuccia and city councilor Sabrina Figuccia are demanding an extraordinary road safety plan, citing the need for improved lighting, better road maintenance, and increased monitoring in high-risk areas.
