1963 Corvette Grand Sport chassis #004 makes rare public appearance
A rare 1963 Corvette Grand Sport, chassis #004, made a public appearance at the Corvettes at Carlisle event in Pennsylvania. One of only five such models ever produced, the vehicle was originally designed by engineer Zora Arkus-Duntov to compete against the Shelby Cobra.
Due to their rarity and racing pedigree, these vehicles command immense value. While a Grand Sport sold for $4.2 million in 2002, chassis #003 set a record for the Corvette line in August 2026 with a sale of $18.7 million. The event was notable for the simultaneous presence of both chassis #001 and #004.
