1factory introduces eQMS software for manufacturers at IMTS

1factory, Inc. has introduced its electronic quality management system (eQMS) software at the IMTS exhibition in Chicago. The cloud-based platform is designed to bridge the gap between compliance documentation—such as training records and audit procedures—and shop-floor quality data, including inspection plans and measurement results.

The software integrates document control, training management, corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs), supplier corrective action requests (SCARs), and customer complaints into a single system. This integration aims to help manufacturers meet standards like ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485, and IATF 16949 while reducing the manual labor typically required for audit preparation.

Early adopters have reported significant efficiency gains. VIDAR, an ITT company, reduced its audit preparation time by 83%, moving from three days to four hours. Additionally, Fairview Machine Company, a manufacturer of aerospace and medical components, utilized the platform to transition to paperless operations and improve traceability.
