1Kosmos integrates with EpicCare Link for healthcare identity verification

1Kosmos has announced its integration into the Epic Toolbox for Identity Verification within the EpicCare Link category. This integration allows healthcare organizations to perform high-assurance identity verification for external clinicians and providers during the onboarding process.

By embedding identity proofing directly into the EpicCare Link workflow, the platform aims to reduce risks associated with identity impersonation, credential fraud, and unauthorized access to sensitive patient data. The process involves clinicians scanning a government-issued ID and capturing a selfie, which the system then verifies using liveness detection and fraud signal checks.

Once identity is confirmed, accounts are provisioned automatically, replacing manual or knowledge-based verification methods that often cause operational delays. The system meets NIST IAL2 standards and features a configurable workflow builder to allow health systems to tailor their specific security requirements.
