1Password launches zero‑exposure integration for Claude AI

1Password and Anthropic have introduced a partnership that lets the Claude AI assistant perform browser actions requiring login without ever exposing stored passwords. The "Zero‑Exposure" architecture keeps credentials encrypted in the 1Password vault and injects them directly into web forms, so the AI never sees the actual secrets. Each request for credentials must be approved by the user through a biometric check, and access is automatically revoked when the task ends, the browser is closed, or after a maximum of nine hours. The integration also activates an "Agentic Mode" that locks the vault while Claude controls the browser, preventing the AI from accessing other stored data. Initially supporting logins and one‑time passwords, the feature plans to extend to payment cards and identity documents, addressing growing concerns over prompt‑injection attacks in autonomous AI workflows.
