The ministry pledged legal action against anyone involved in the leak and confirmed that about 922,000 students, including those from schools for the blind, sat the English paper under heightened security.

In Egypt, Minister of Education Mohamed Abdul‑Latif similarly oversaw the distribution of exam papers, demanding strict adherence to timing and thorough student inspections. He coordinated directly with regional education directors to ensure the timely arrival of question boxes and answer booklets. The Egyptian exam authority reported that 867,429 new‑system students and 3,269 old‑system students took the English exam, with an additional 284 blind‑school students completing a second paper. Both ministries emphasized complete monitoring of the exam process from printing to delivery to prevent cheating.
