2026 College Football Quarterback Outlook Highlights Arch Manning, C.J. Carr and Top Prospects
College football analysts have released their early 2026 quarterback rankings, led by Texas freshman Arch Manning, who posted 3,163 passing yards and 26 touchdowns in 2025 and is expected to be a Heisman contender. Oregon’s Dante Moore and Ole Miss transfer Trinidad Chambliss round out the top three spots, each praised for their arm strength and pocket presence.
Notre Dame’s C.J. Carr also draws considerable attention after a 2025 season with a 66.6% completion rate, 2,741 passing yards, 24 touchdowns and six interceptions. NFL draft guru Todd McShay called Carr the “MVP of the Manning Passing Academy,” and the Fighting Irish aim to return to the College Football Playoff with Carr as a potential Heisman candidate.
