2026 FIFA World Cup album highlights artists from Canada, US, Mexico

The official soundtrack for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, an 18‑track album released by FIFA, brings together a wide range of global sounds to reflect the tournament’s three host nations – Canada, the United States and Mexico. Executive producer Walter explained that the goal was “to represent each country and region and city and bring a different flavour to each song and with each artist,” featuring contributors such as Shakira, Future, J Balvin, Nora Fatehi, Nelly Furtado, and many others. The project, described by FIFA as its largest musical initiative, mixes hip‑hop, afropop, country‑rap and other genres, pairing artists from different continents – for example, Future with South African amapiano star Tyla, and Jelly Roll with Mexican regional star Carín León.

Artists emphasized the anthem’s intended energy and inclusivity. Shakira said a World Cup song “has to be rhythmic… make people want to dance… and be an anthem as well,” while J Balvin added that today’s listeners have “only five seconds” of attention and the track must “engage listeners right off the bat.” The album is positioned as a cultural bridge amid political tensions between the three host countries, with Walter noting that “music can transcend all that” and remind people that “people can come together no matter where you’re from.”
