2026 FIFA World Cup Deploys Medical and Counter‑Drone Systems Across North America

Motorola Solutions is equipping venues of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico with its “Guardian” drones. Each drone can carry a 10‑lb payload of life‑saving equipment, including defibrillators, epipens, first‑aid kits and radios, allowing rapid response to medical emergencies inside stadiums while minimizing match disruptions. The company is also working with drone‑detection firm SkySafe to block unauthorized aircraft from entering the protected airspace.

In parallel, D‑Fend Solutions has deployed its EnforceAir counter‑drone platform at more than 20 public‑safety agencies across the three host nations. The cyber‑based system takes control of rogue drones without jamming communications, protecting stadiums, critical infrastructure and surrounding areas. CEO Zohar Halachmi said the deployment demonstrates the trust placed in the technology for safeguarding the world’s biggest sporting event.
