2026 Korea Urban and Regional Innovation Industry Expo to open in Cheongju

The 2026 Korea Urban and Regional Innovation Industry Expo will be held at OSCO in Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province, from September 29 to October 2. Co-hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the event features approximately 320 exhibition booths across three main sectors: public policy and regional innovation, future industries (including IT, construction, and real estate services), and regional coexistence.

The expo focuses on the sustainability of urban regeneration through technology, finance, and transportation. Key programs include seminars on AI applications in architecture and urban regeneration, discussions on new urban finance techniques by the Housing & Urban Guarantee Corporation (HUG), and strategies for Demand Responsive Transport (DRT). Additionally, the event will host an AI urban innovation idea contest and a hackathon for local innovation.

Private sector participants, such as Hyundai Development Company, are also utilizing the platform to promote local residential developments, including the Cheongju Gagyeong IPARK complexes, to residents and visitors.
