2026 MLB Draft: Mariners' Selections and Final Mock Projections Shape First‑Round Outlook

The Seattle Mariners will make 20 selections in the 2026 MLB Draft, opening with the No. 24 overall pick on July 11 in Philadelphia. With a total bonus pool of just over $8.2 million and a slot value of about $3.8 million for their first pick, the club has flexibility to allocate funds across the class and will need to find value later in the first round.

Ahead of the draft, ESPN analyst Kiley McDaniel released a final mock draft for the top 13 picks. The mock retains the same top three selections as earlier, projecting UCLA shortstop Roch Cholowsky to the Chicago White Sox, followed by shortstops Grady Emerson (Rays) and Vahn Lackey (Twins). The mock also compares these projections with Baseball‑Reference’s latest draft outlook.
