Egypt Ministry of Education releases 2026 secondary school exam results

The Egyptian Ministry of Education announced the results of the 2026 secondary school exit examinations. Under the new curriculum, 883,690 candidates registered, 825,867 attended and 620,314 passed, giving an overall passing rate of 75.1%. In the legacy system, 4,172 registered, 3,620 attended and 2,610 passed (72.1%). Track‑specific rates under the new system were 81.6% in scientific‑mathematics (113,651 of 139,302 attendees), 75.4% in scientific‑biology (382,720 of 507,415) and 69.2% in the literary division (123,943 of 179,150). The Ministry also launched an online service allowing students to view their national ranking via the official portal using their seat number. A two‑week grievance period began on 30 July, with a fee of 300 EGP per subject, and procedures for reviewing answer scripts were detailed. The ministry warned it will pursue legal action against anyone spreading false information about the results, citing the case of top scorer Abdullah Mahmoud Omar Mohamed Saber, who achieved a perfect 320‑point score in the scientific‑biology track.
