The Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, led by Minister Dr. Abdulaziz Qansowa, issued its fourth guidance booklet to inform high‑school graduates about the electronic university admission coordination for the 2026/2027 academic year. The booklet explains how students can view their assigned colleges or institutes, print the admission card, and warns them to rely only on official ministry sources.

Registration of preferences for the first phase of coordination opened on 5 August 2026 and will close on 9 August 2026, following an earlier preference‑registration window from 29 July to 2 August. The ministry also published the minimum score thresholds for the first phase under the new system: 292 points (91.25 %) for scientific‑science, 275.5 points (86.09 %) for scientific‑math, and 229 points (71.56 %) for literary streams. Corresponding thresholds under the old system were 369, 347 and 270 points respectively.

The guidance lists colleges that accept students with a 70 % scientific score, such as the Faculty of Primary Education, Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Nursing, Faculty of Early Childhood Education and Faculty of Fine Arts. Dr. Adel Abdelghafar serves as the ministry’s official spokesperson.
