Egypt's Higher Education Ministry launches 2026 university admission coordination

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research issued its fourth guidance booklet to prepare students for the 2026/27 university and institute admission coordination. The ministry announced that the first phase of preference registration will be open from 29 July to 2 August 2026 through the official coordination website. It set minimum score thresholds for the new system at 292 points (91.25 %) for scientific‑science, 275.5 points (86.09 %) for scientific‑math and 229 points (71.56 %) for literary streams, and for the old system at 369, 347 and 270 points respectively.

Students may view their assigned college or institute and print a candidate card after results are posted; the card becomes final after the conversion phase and re‑application is not permitted. The ministry warned students to rely only on official ministry sources and not on unofficial websites. A list of colleges that accept a 70 % scientific score was published, including the Faculty of Primary Education, Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Nursing, Faculty of Early Childhood Education and Faculty of Fine Arts.
