2026 U.S. Open field confirmed with top-ranked golfers

The 2026 U.S. Open, the USGA's third major of the year, will be held at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Southampton, New York, from June 18‑21. A 156‑player field has been set, featuring world‑ranked stars such as Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler, Bryson DeChambeau, Cam Young and many others. About one‑quarter of the spots were earned through final qualifying, which produced 24 qualifiers including Billy Horschel, J.B. Holmes and Miles Russell, while notable players like Tony Finau, Max Homa and others missed out.

The tournament will offer a purse of roughly $21.5 million, based on 2024 figures, with seven additional places reserved for recent PGA Tour winners or those inside the top‑60 of the Official World Golf Ranking.
