2026 World Matchplay and Australian Darts Masters Qualifiers Announced
The player field for the 2026 World Matchplay darts tournament, to be held in Blackpool, has been largely set. Sixteen qualifiers will come from the Main Order of Merit and another sixteen from the ProTour Order of Merit, with seeded players such as Luke Littler, Michael van Gerwen, Jonny Clayton, Gerwyn Price and Gary Anderson confirmed.
The Australian Darts Masters 2026 will take place on 22‑23 August at the WIN Entertainment Centre in Wollongong. Five Oceanic qualifiers—Raymond Smith, Brody Klinge, Tim Pusey, Joe Comito and Darren Penhall—have earned spots after the Australian Darts Association Tour, joining previously qualified Simon Whitlock and Adam Leek. The event will feature eight PDC stars, including European Champion Gian van Veen, Welshman Jonny Clayton, former World Cup winners Josh Rock and Gerwyn Price, and UK Open champion James Wade.
Both tournaments will showcase a mix of established PDC professionals and emerging regional talent, highlighting the expanding global reach of professional darts.
