2027 Election Calendar Changes in Puebla and Argentine Provinces
Mexico’s National Electoral Institute (INE) approved uniform dates for the conclusion of precampaigns and the collection of citizen support for independent candidates in Puebla. Both stages will end on 28 February 2027, with precampaigns expected to begin around 18 February. The state’s local election is slated for 1‑10 November 2026, and Puebla is grouped with Tabasco and Veracruz for the independent‑candidate support period.
In Argentina, at least eight provinces have announced plans to hold their local elections separately from the national vote in 2027. Tucumán set 9 May 2027, while Salta is considering 16 or 23 May. Other provinces such as Chubut, Misiones, Jujuy, Neuquén, Santa Fe and Mendoza are evaluating dates ranging from July to September, with Mendoza confirming provincial primaries (PASO) for July. Several provinces, including Tierra del Fuego, Río Negro, Entre Ríos, San Juan, San Luis, La Ríoja, Formosa and La Pampa, have yet to announce definitive schedules.
