2027 Luxury Cruise Expansions: Regatta World Voyage and Explora Journeys Amazon Launch

The Regatta will leave Oceania Cruises in August and be transferred to the Explorations by Norwegian brand of My Cruises. Starting in September 2027 the ship will embark on a 368‑day world cruise, calling at ports across Europe, Africa, Asia, the Indian Ocean and a circumnavigation of Australia and New Zealand, with a total of 230 destinations. Before the handover the vessel will complete a final Oceania itinerary, a ten‑night Eastern Mediterranean cruise from Dubrovnik to Istanbul.

Separately, MSC’s luxury division Explora Journeys will begin operating a high‑end Amazon cruise in February 2027. The new vessel will carry 1,000 passengers in 460 balcony suites, offering five pools, six restaurants and numerous lounges. The inaugural 12‑night itinerary departs from Manaus, travels the Amazon River to San Juan, Puerto Rico, and includes Caribbean stops such as St Barth, Martinique and Barbados. Prices start at R$50 000 per person, including airfare, as the brand targets affluent Brazilian travelers and aims to reshape perceptions of cruise vacations in Brazil.
