2027 ODI World Cup schedule features India-Pakistan clashes

The 2027 ICC Men's ODI World Cup is scheduled to begin on October 2, 2027, hosted jointly by South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia. The tournament will feature 14 teams competing in 57 matches, with the final set for November 21, 2027.

A major highlight of the schedule is the high-profile rivalry between India and Pakistan. The two teams are slated to meet at least twice, with their first encounter scheduled for October 10 in Johannesburg. A second potential matchup is set for November 7 in Cape Town if both teams qualify for the Super-7 stage, and a third meeting could occur in the final.

Zimbabwe, one of the confirmed hosts, has been placed in Group A alongside Australia, India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Zimbabwe's head coach, Justin Samson, noted that matches against India, Pakistan, and Australia will provide significant experience for his players. All-rounder Sikandar Raza expressed excitement about playing the tournament on home soil before his retirement.
