20km de Paris promotes inclusivity for athletes with disabilities
The Harmonie Mutuelle 20km de Paris, held on Sunday, October 11, featured significant displays of solidarity and inclusion for athletes with disabilities.
Through the 'Joëlettes' initiative, participants with disabilities experienced the race supported by volunteer runners. Specifically, the CSINI and its partner GMF facilitated the participation of three injured individuals: Jean-Pascal and Jérémie competed using joëlettes, while Paul participated in a racing wheelchair.
Technological innovation also played a role in the event via the company HOPPER, which utilizes carbon fiber from Airbus A350 production to create running blades. HOPPER supported several athletes, including 8-year-old Isak in the 20kids event, and amputees Arthur Cousin and Thomas Brout in the main 20km race.
