21 NEXT launches as European private markets investment platform

21 NEXT has officially launched as a European alternative asset management platform focused on private markets. The entity was formed through the integration of 21 Invest and 21 Tages, operating under the strategic direction of the holding company Edizione.

The platform has received regulatory approval from the European Commission, the Italian Competition Authority, the Bank of Italy, and the Autorité des marchés financiers. 21 NEXT is controlled by Edizione with a 55% stake, while the remaining 45% is held by the founders, including Alessandro Benetton and Panfilo Tarantelli.

Currently managing approximately 3 billion euros across 11 active funds, the platform aims to exceed 10 billion euros in assets under management in the coming years. Edizione has provided 500 million euros in seed capital to support growth. The firm manages diverse strategies including healthcare, energy transition, infrastructure, and private debt, with a geographic focus on Italy, France, Spain, and the Benelux region.
