212 brand enters Poland with T01 off-road vehicle

The Chinese automotive brand 212 is entering the Polish market with its T01 model, a vehicle designed specifically for off-road capabilities rather than urban driving. The brand originates from Beijing Automobile Works (BAW), a manufacturer with roots dating back to the 1950s and a history of producing military vehicles.

The T01 features a traditional off-road construction, including a body-on-frame design, rigid axles, and a transfer case. It is equipped with electronically controlled front and rear differential locks as standard. Technical specifications include a ground clearance of 235 mm, a wading depth of 850 mm, and approach and departure angles of 40 and 36 degrees, respectively.

In Poland, the T01 will be offered with two engine options: a 2.0-liter turbodiesel producing 170 KM and 415 Nm of torque paired with a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission, or a 2.0-liter gasoline engine producing 231 KM and 410 Nm of torque, also featuring an automatic gearbox and selectable 4x4 drive.
