21Shares and FTSE Russell partner to standardize digital asset ETF benchmarks
21Shares and FTSE Russell have entered a global partnership to standardize the benchmark index framework for 21Shares’ exchange-traded products (ETPs) across the United States, Europe, and Australia. As part of this infrastructure enhancement, several US-listed single-asset ETFs are transitioning to FTSE Russell digital asset indices, effective August 27, 2026.
The transition includes seven specific ETFs: ARKB (Bitcoin), TETH (Ethereum), TSOL (Solana), TOXR (XRP), TSUI (Sui), TDOG (Dogecoin), and TDOT (Polkadot). For the TOXR XRP ETF, the change involves moving from the CME CF XRP–Dollar Reference Rate, New York Variant, to the FTSE XRP Index for calculating Net Asset Value (NAV).
While the pricing methodology is changing, the underlying asset exposure, legal structures, custody arrangements, and fee schedules remain unchanged. Custody for XRP assets continues to be provided by Anchorage Digital, BitGo, and Coinbase Custody. The move aims to provide a unified pricing and governance framework for digital asset investors globally.
