Schramberg ambulance collision with car leaves no injuries
On Friday evening at about 18:40, an ambulance on an emergency run entered a red light on the B462 Oberndorfer Straße in Schramberg and struck a stationary car in the “Grüner‑Baum‑Kurve” construction zone. The impact caused roughly €8,000 in damage to the ambulance; the car was also damaged but no one was injured. After the collision the driver of the car continued driving away without reporting the incident. Police have opened a hit‑and‑run investigation and are asking witnesses to contact the Schramberg police station.
The accident prompted the deployment of a specialized accident‑recording team, and the road remained partially blocked while evidence was collected. Authorities emphasized that ambulance drivers are permitted to pass red lights only when safety permits, and they are reviewing the circumstances of the breach.
