23-year-old arrested in Reggio Emilia after large drug seizure

Police from the Reggio Emilia mobile squad conducted an anti‑drug operation near Piazza Stranieri after multiple resident reports. Officers stopped a 23‑year‑old Italian man on a scooter, searched him and later his home. In the apartment a packet of cigarettes contained a few grams of hashish and a precision balance. The search was extended to the basement, where over 300 g of hashish packed in three bundles was seized. In a shared area of the building an abandoned car held another 200 g of mixed hashish and cocaine, a money‑counting machine and a large axe.

All the material was confiscated and the young man was formally charged with possession of a substantial amount of narcotics intended for trafficking. The investigation remains open to determine any further responsibility linked to the common area of the condominium.
